It Happened Slowly
By Bernadette Bradley

Title: IT HAPPENED SLOWLY
Author: Bernadette Bradley
Email: bern@cyllene.uwa.edu.au
Feedback: email me to say "Hi" - I get bored at work.
Disclaimer: This story is mine, but the world it is written about is NOT mine. The wonderful world of Buffy belongs to the mighty Joss. Don't sue me.
Spoilers: none
Summary: Buffy muses about how and why she and Giles got together. From Buffy's point of view and with no plot or sex. This idea of how Buffy sees her relationship with Giles sets the scenes for all my future writings. If I were Buffy, this is how I would feel about Giles. Please don't be embarrised for me now that you know my particular father-fantasy.

They Can't Take That Away From Me by Ananda PG-13 (1/1)

Title: They Can’t Take That Away From Me

Author: Ananda, ananda1@mailcity.com

Rating: PG-13

Spoilers: Set post season 4 but I don’t think there are any spoilers.

Feedback: Yes please, this is my first attempt at sad fic.

Disclaimer: Buffy etc belongs to Joss, Mutant Enemy and Warner Bros. The idea, sitaution and dialogue of this story are by Margery Allingham. She called the story "The Secret" and it’s found in "Mr Campion’s Lucky day and Other Stories", published by Chatto and Windus Ltd 1973. The version I’ve adapted was published by Penguin Books in 1992. It is copyrighted to P. and M. Youngman Carter Ltd, 1973.

Notes: This story is an adaptation of "The Secret", a short story by Margery Allingham. When I read it I thought how well it would fit Buffy and Giles, so I adapted it. It is not original. The title is from a song which is sung by Fred Astaire to Ginger Rogers on a ferry in the fog in the film Shall We Dance (I think) I can’t remember who wrote it, sorry.

Dedication: To my mother for introducing me to Campion, and to Margery Allingham for writing him.

Straight on Til Midnight by Ananda PG (1/1)

Title: Straight On Till Morning or Ultramundane

Author: Ananda, ananda1@mailcity.com

Rating: PG

Disclaimer: I don’t own anything except the stories concept, and possibly not even that. The idea of twin ships was first used, as far as I know, by Anne MacCafrey.

Dedication: To Lynne for sleeping on my floor for a week and not minding when I switched the lights on a four in the morning to write this.

Private Lives by Ananda PG (1/2)

Title: Private Lives

Author: Ananda, ananda1@mailcity.com

Spoilers: This is a post university fic but Buffy probably didn't die at the end of S5 or she wouldn't be here. Or she did die and Joss brought her back for S6, whatever. It doesn't matter.

Rating: PG

Disclaimer: I don't own Buffy, nor do I own the original idea for this story which belongs to Noel Coward's play Private Lives. The reworking is mine though.

Notes: The songs used are "So in Love" by Cole Porter, "Stardust" by Hoagy Carmichael, "They Can't Take That Away From Me" by George and Ira Gershwin, "Someday I'll Find You" by Noel Coward, "Moon River" by Harry Mancini and Johnny Mercer and "Night and Day" by Cole Porter. The last words are from the film "Paris When it Sizzles."

I realise by rights the unfortunate other couple should be called Victor and Sybil as in the play but the names are very old fashioned these days so I changed them completely to Alison and James only I kept typing Amanda which is the name of Buffy's character in the original play so I decided to use those instead.

Dedication: To me, because I got a 2:1 for my degree! Way better than I expected and to Eaglwolf for demanding I push Elyot off the balcony. Sorry. And to my parents who read this and broke off frequently into Noel Coward songs, constantly. I sometimes wonder if I'm the only normal one, but we don't have capable so we make our own fun.
